Check ENGINE!

Buying a car that will last you for at least a decade [not sure they make them to last that long these days] is really an herculean task. Unscrupulous dealers and their shenanigans does not make it one bit easy.
Some have their rules as to what they need to see in the new toy they are about to get.
Example :
Car should not be too old: 3–5 years old
Mileage not more than 45,000 miles
Price less than or equal $30K
Maintenance Records available
One or Two owners
Here are some other tips that can help you buy a good car:
Know your budget and stick to it. DON’T be tempted to go above board.
Discover the vehicles and features that suit your needs.
Get pre-approval on a loan.
Arrange an exchange.
Find and test the car.
Check the sale price and guarantees.
Browse listing and seller.
Even with all these…..be VERY careful out there. There are scammers at every corner. Trust BUT VERIFY.
Hope this helps!
